Norwest Private **Hospital** is located in the rapidly developing North West corridor of Sydney and is operated by Healthscope, a leading provider of private healthcare in Australia. The hospital has 277 beds and is a high acuity facility with an Emergency Department located in Sydney's Bella Vista.

**In this role, you will be involved in, but not restricted to**:

- Greeting patients and other customers.
- Liaising with nursing staff to provide accurate information to relatives regarding timeframes of surgical patients
- Preparation of patient files and coordination with other ward clerks to obtain ward patient files
- Medical record filing and distribution of discharge summaries, x-ray and pathology results
- Providing clerical support to the NUM and nursing staff
- Liaison with allied health, wardspersons and other hospital departments when required to facilitate patient treatments or transfers

**Essential Qualities**:

- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Well organised, able to prioritise, plan ahead and work under pressure
- Competent computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook & Webpas Medical System)
- Previous front line customer service experience
- Experience with medical terminology would be advantageous
