**About the role**
The Lead, Teaching Standards and Accreditation provides leadership of the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) teacher accreditation policies, procedures, and processes. This role involves identifying current and emerging issues and solutions in teacher accreditation, proactively driving improvements in services for teachers and other key stakeholders throughout NSW, ensuring that outcomes align with organisational goals and government reforms.
On a day-to-day basis you will:
- Lead processes in partnership with the Director of Teaching Standards and Accreditation to ensure, and monitor the consistency of accreditation decisions for teachers across schools, early childhood services and non-school based environments, as well as for employment authorities in NSW
- Drive the clear and effective communication of teacher accreditation requirements and expectations to teachers, educational leaders, and key stakeholders
- Provide high quality support and advice through the provision of accurate and timely information for teachers, educational leaders and stakeholders to ensure compliance with teacher accreditation requirements
- Provide high level advice, expertise, solutions and risk management strategies in developing effective policies, procedures, processes, record keeping, and resources associated with the administration of NESAs teacher accreditation regulatory functions
- Drive a culture of high performance, through collaboration and effective communication to deliver multiple projects at once
**Essential requirements**
- Appropriate tertiary qualification or demonstrated relevant skills, knowledge and experience
- Knowledge of state, national and international education policies and emerging trends in teacher accreditation
- Demonstrated experience of leading high performing teams to optimise service delivery
- Accredited at Proficient Teacher or above, or eligible to be accredited at Proficient Teacher.
