**About the role**:
We are currently looking for an experienced Functional Billing Lead to join our dynamic and supportive East Coast Customer Operations group based in Melbourne. Your primary focus will be to develop and maintain billing processes across Mass Market, Meter Data and Concessions. The role will also manage and monitor daily billing systems and processes to enable accurate invoices to be sent to customers and manage exceptions process resolving any issues related to invoicing.

**Additional responsibilities will include**:

- Manage the ongoing integrity and maturity of all Mass Market processes with a prime focus on billing, metering & exception management
- Support monthly, quarterly billing, billing adjustments, charges, meter data read and exception management
- Provide operational data insights to support business key decision making
- Analysis as required to enable improvements to daily billing mechanisms and customer experience

**To be successful you will have**:

- Excellent understanding of the energy industry for Mass Market customers
- Excellent analytical, mathematical and creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to conceptualise complex technical issues and communicate ideas in technical and user friendly language
- Ability to perform data updates to a high level of accuracy
- A strong understanding of billing functions and processes for electricity and gas market rules
