**About the Role**:
We are seeking a team leader who has excellent strategic leadership and communication skills.
**The Manager will be required to**:

- Lead and manage teams and projects and coordinate the development of new initiatives;
- Provide high level leadership and strategic advice on policy issues, projects and programs;
- Undertake research, analysis, monitoring, review and evaluation to ensure alignment with corporate goals;
- Critically analyse issues and prepare accurate and timely briefs, reports, responses to correspondence and requests for information on issues at state, national and international levels;
- Contribute to interagency planning and implementation of significant government reforms;
- Establish effective internal and external networks and liaise, communicate and coordinate with key personnel to achieve required outcomes; and
- Foster a team environment where professional growth and continuous improvement are priorities.

**What you need to succeed**:The ideal applicant will have the following key attributes**:

- Strategic leadership skills to manage teams and work in a fast paced, changing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead the review of departmental procedures, associated guidelines and resources.
- Demonstrated ability to provide advice and guidance to schools, regions and external stakeholders.
- High level research skills and data analysis and management skills.
- Highly developed written, consultation and negotiation skills to allow effective liaison with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Knowledge of or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of, education policies and practices.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders to develop solutions to complex issues.
