Payroll Services and Implementation Manager

We are seeking to appoint a **Payroll Services and Implementation Manager** to join our People team. Reporting to the GM People, you will be responsible for the implementation of a new payroll system, continuous improvement of existing processes and supporting our end-to-end payroll function.
- 12 month fixed-term contract, working full-time hours and based in our Bethanie on Pier office in the Perth CBD
- Flexible working arrangements offered, including opportunity to work from home / remotely
**About the role - duties will include**:
- System implementation including engagement with our ICT team for successful implementation; working with our L&OD to engage and train end-users; and post implementation assessment for supporting continuous improvement
- Payroll Management: oversee the payroll for all pays including adjustments, new starters and cessations, salary, benefits and allowances, leave entitlements
- Manage the chris21 support contract and ensure the integrity of data is to a high standard and delivers effective and efficient reporting
- Oversee month and year end requirements and ensure all statutory reporting is accurate and delivered in a timely manner
- Resolve complex issues within targeted timeframes and provide legislative interpretation / advice to employees and managers
**About you**
You are a payroll professional with a continuous improvement mindset and have a proven ability to understand, analyse and produce workable solutions. You are a skilled communicator with the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to a range of stakeholders.
You will also bring:
- Experience working in a complex payroll environment, ideally with an EBA workforce
- Sound knowledge of ATO, Workers Compensation and SGC requirements relating to Payroll
- Experience driving process improvements within payroll and HRIS systems and business processes
- Significant experience in successfully managing large payrolls using payroll software systems
- Project management skills
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- Also desirable: experience using chris21; Membership of the Australian Payroll Association; Diploma in Payroll or suitable equivalent experience
