**The main responsibilities of this role include**:
- Lead a high-performing payroll team
- Govern the end-to-end payroll process, including 2 Fortnightly payments and 1 monthly payment for 4500 employees across Australia.
- Providing advice for complex payroll matters, benefits, and compensation.
- Continuously improving the payroll processing, administration functions and the effective utilisation of the payroll system.
- Inducting and training new payroll team members with the payroll processes and providing ongoing support and training.
- Being responsible for the leadership, direction, development, training and planning of local and global resources, to seek the best cost and process delivery optimisation for payroll services.
- Ensuring alignment to strategies and business requirements.
- Ensuring that all statutory reporting and compliance activities relating to payroll delivery are completed within the payroll team accurately and on time.
- Diploma in Payroll Management or similar is essential, with Tertiary qualifications highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3 years of leading a high-volume payroll processing team for a complex employer.
- Minimum of 7 years of payroll processing experience for a complex, multi-state employer.
- Demonstrated experience leading a high-volume payroll processing team for a complex employer.
- Experience with ADP PayForce.
- Prior experience managing a team and the end-to-end payroll function.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical and reporting skills.
