**Stakeholder and Community Engagement Advisor
- CopperString 2032**
We’re supporting Australia’s change to renewable energy, are you ready for a change?
**The Project**
The UGL and CPB Contractors Joint Venture are supporting Powerlink’s delivery of CopperString 2032. This iconic $6 billion project involves the construction of 840 kilometres of new transmission line running between just south of Townsville and Mount Isa that will connect Queensland’s North-West Minerals Province to the national electricity grid.
The project scope includes:
- 330kV transmission line between Hughenden and Cloncurry
- 220kV transmission line between Cloncurry and Mount Isa
- 500 kilovolt (kV) transmission line between just south of Townsville and Hughenden
- Up to six new substation sites.
This exciting project is underway, and we are currently looking for an experienced Community Engagement Advisor to join the CopperString 2032 Project team.
**Your Opportunity**:
- Implement the Communications and Stakeholder Engagement Strategy and Community Liaison Plan for the Copperstring 2032 Project.
- Deliver community engagement campaigns and activities in support of the construction delivery.
- Assist in the forecast, tracking and reporting on the Community Engagement activities for the Copperstring 2032 Project.
- Proactively identify and develop content in support of good news stories and story-telling of construction progress and associated activities.
- Assist in activities to evaluate community engagement activities for Copperstring 2032 Project to understand community satisfaction and areas for improvement.
**Our Minimum Requirements**:
- A willingness to travel frequently and spend time on-site with construction teams and community stakeholders.
- A strong working knowledge of the communities in North-West Queensland, including their cultural and social landscapes.
- A passion for delivering meaningful outcomes for regional Australians, paired with a personality that thrives in building trust and fostering positive relationships.
- Experience in a communications role on infrastructure or construction projects.
- The ability to work effectively in remote environments, as part of a team yet autonomously when required.
- Proven experience in the development and execution of community engagement plans and strategies.
- Competence in measuring and reporting on the outcomes of community engagement activities.
- A sound understanding of Queensland construction safety requirements and the ability to integrate safety considerations into engagement activities.
- Possession of, or the ability to obtain, a General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- Tertiary or vocational qualifications in Community Engagement, Communications, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
