Client Onboarding Specialist covering Wealth Management for a global bank based in Sydney

**Your new company**

This company is a prestigious global bank that specialises in Investment Banking and Wealth Management. The role is within the Wealth Management business, which services individuals, families and institutions investing in both domestic and international markets, including equities, fixed income and derivative investments, financial planning, margin lending and managed funds.

**Your new role**

The role is responsible for onboarding new clients where the function owns the end-to-end process for client onboarding, working part of a small Sydney team.
- Onboard domestic and private wealth management client base that consists of individuals, joint accounts, trusts and an expanding client base of funds and subsidiaries of listed companies.
- Engage with Sales teams to share KYC and AML/CTF guidance and improve the quality of KYC and client due diligence
- Review and validate the values that impact a client’s AML /CTF risk, such as Source of Wealth and Source of Funds
- Ensure account opening documentation and relevant approval records are retained properly in the internal database and monitor the receipt of any outstanding documentation within the required timeframe.
- Escalate regulatory concerns or exceptions for further review and discussion
- Escalate accounts with high-risk triggers or high-risk accounts for Global Financial Crime signoff.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline e.g. Commerce, Law, Accounting, Finance
- Client Onboarding and KYC experience in banking
- Knowledge of account structures of various complexity
- Knowledge of requirements for onboarding High Risk clients is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively and clearly advise sales teams and other stakeholders
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic
