We are urgently seeking an experienced Executive Support Officer for a temporary role within a Government Department starting ASAP. Located in Brisbane CBD, this role will be responsible for providing efficient, professional, and confidential support to the executive, including:

- Keeping abreast of current issues which may impact of the service area, and reporting findings to the executive.
- Quality checking correspondence, submissions, briefing notes and reports, and providing advice to business areas where changes or clarification is required.
- Actively reviewing and managing work priorities and deadlines on a daily basis.
- Screening incoming calls and effectively manage queries and redirecting calls to relevant business areas when appropriate.
- Coordinating and managing administration support activities, including quality assurance processes for correspondence, meeting papers and briefs, travel and itinerary arrangements, and corporate card reconciliations.
- Establishing and maintaining positive working relationships within the department, with other State Government agencies and external stakeholders.
- Providing direction and guidance to the executive assistant on executive support and general administrative tasks.

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

- Previous experience providing a high quality standard of efficient and confidential secretarial and administrative support to senior executives.
- Proven ability to work autonomously, using a high level of initiative and self-motivation to understand and resolve issues.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external clients.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage and deliver on competing deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
