**The Opportunity**

Due to continued growth of our new Crestmead distribution centre we are now searching for a Quality and Safety Coordinator to join in a newly created role. You will be responsible for maintaining, negotiating, and agreeing on in-house quality procedures, standards, and specification in line with the Business objectives. You will be maintaining and improving our Quality Management System to comply with relevant regulatory bodies and consistently driving quality behaviours across the site.

You will take on responsibility for compliance with all WHS policies with the goal of providing a safe place for all employees to work. You will create an environment of continuous improvement whilst maintaining an engaged workforce.

**Role Location**

As this role is critical to our operation, it will be based onsite working from our Crestmead fulfilment centre (Crestmead, QLD 4132).

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Review KPI's from each area and identify team members to work with to improve their performance.
- Regular Safety Audits via the safety matrix as well as live adhoc monitoring.
- Deliver a one-off project in bringing SOP's up to date and regularly maintaining SOP's.
- Daily opening of orders that have been packed to check quality, including right box size used, right amount of void fill, product presented in a good fashion (no damage or dusty, or open to damage during transport).
- Daily spot checks of replenishment and put away to check for accuracy.
- Review the CS miss pack file and liaise with Warehouse Manager for corrective action.
- Manage all audits, manage non-conformance and putting in place robust corrective actions.
- Utilise data to develop projects to continually improve quality performance.
- Actively monitoring the site to determine the presence of hazards, enforcing the appropriate action to rectify.
- Actioning all fulfilment issues relating to quality and safety.
- Monitoring progress against targets and take action on quality and safety shortfalls.
- Providing support and training to fulfilment employees on process, quality and safety related issues.
- Maintain the fulfilment centre with the highest level of commitment to good housekeeping.

**Your ideal skills & experience**:

- Experience in a similar Quality and Safety role in a fast-paced warehouse environment (B2C experience preferred but not essential).
- Must be an active participant in a "hands-on" work environment.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with individuals and in cross-functional teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of WHS policies and procedures.
- High attention to detail and confidence to execute decisions.
- Ability to influence others.
