**The Role**

Are you a dynamic and creative communications professional looking to make a significant impact? We are seeking a new Communications Manager to join our team and play a key role in advancing our organisation’s brand identity and visibility. This position is integral to our efforts in enhancing brand awareness, engaging with stakeholders and the community, and executing effective campaigns.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- ** Lead and execute communications plans**to boost brand awareness and achieve strategic priorities.
- ** Manage and coordinate multiple communication projects**to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and business goals.
- ** Support media strategy and engagement**by developing messaging, creating press releases, and responding to media requests.
- ** Support events and initiatives**by planning and executing events, workshops, and providing assistance to speakers.

**About you**:
**Essential criteria includes**:

- Degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a nonprofit or mission-driven organisation.
- Excellent written communication skills, with experience in copywriting and content creation across various platforms.
- Ability to navigate politically sensitive spaces with strategic messaging and meet challenging deadlines.
- Proven ability to develop and implement communication plans for multiple projects and brands.
- Comprehensive understanding of contemporary media.
