**About the role**

As our Sourcing & Quality Assurance Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and timely delivery of our products. You will interpret component design requirements, identify and qualify suitable suppliers, and ensure delivered products meet our stringent quality specifications.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Supplier Selection, Qualification and Approval
- Negotiation and Costing: Maintaining cost-effective trading terms and purchase prices.
- Supplier Performance Management: Monitoring and reviewing supplier performance regarding price, service, and quality, and actively managing supplier relationships.
- Supplier Risk Mitigation: Developing and implementing strategies to mitigate potential supply chain risks.
- Incoming Product Inspection: Planning and overseeing inspections to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Quality Documentation: Developing and maintaining quality checks and documentation.
- Non-Conformance Management: Coordinating investigations into non-conformances, identifying root causes, and collaborating with stakeholders to implement preventative measures.
- Product Recalls and Reworks: Coordinating product recalls and reworks as required
- Collaboration with the Design Team: Actively contributing to continuous product development improvements, focusing on quality assurance and cost-effective manufacturing.
- You will learn about key areas within the department, such as engineering, design, logistics, WHS, and IP, to develop a comprehensive understanding and enhance your cross-functional effectiveness.

You ideally have a proven background in manufacturing and experience in both international and local product sourcing. You possess exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and a thoughtful, persistent approach to problem-solving. You are passionate about contributing your expertise to a company dedicated to enhancing product safety integrity and exceeding quality standards.

**Skills & Key Attributes**
- Strong understanding of metal components, design fabrication & finishes
- Technical ability/Manufacturing background or industry experience in a product related field (Desirable)
- Product sourcing internationally, particularly in China (Desirable)
- Willingness to travel internationally
- Practical and results-oriented mindset
- Strong analytical skills
- Exceptional ability to build relationships and rapport
- Ability to work independently in a fast paced and sometimes ambiguous environment
