Platinum Blasting Services is excited to offe an Experienced Supply Chain Co-ordinator role in our Brisbane Head Office.

Supporting our Supply Chain Manager with day to day tasks, we are seeking an energetic, and responsible person who will enjoy working from our beautiful Queen Street offices, while overseeing logistics co-ordination and supply chain support to mine sites throughout the Bowen Basin, and regional Queensland.

Although you may not be from the explosive manufacturing / supply industry there is plenty of opportunity to learn and grow in this position, guided by our Supply Chain Manager.

Daily tasks include;
- Request quotes and raising purchase orders to purchase materials within critical timelines. Expedite purchase orders as required.
- Work closely with the production teams to ensure stock holdings meet operational requirements.
- Participate in the negotiation of appropriate contracts for pricing and supply.
- Complete stock adjustments in a timely manner.
- Resolves invoice queries in a timely manner to allow for the payment of suppliers.
- Generate weekly and monthly reports as required to provide insights to management.
- Implement product security procedures to ensure the security of stock and accuracy of material available
- Management of obsolete stock process
- Participate in site operations meetings to identify material requirements and respond to operational changes.
- Assist with the development of relevant procedures.
- Coordinating the import logistics process
- Ensuring delivery on time in full to Customers
- Coordinating and executing Supply chain and Logistics activities, including planning the daily route for all deliveries to multiple sites.
- Management of stock, storage and monitoring of all transportation activities
- Working with the Supply Chain Manager on forecasting requirement
- Stock reconciliation - Regularly stocktake materials to ensure that inventory records are accurate.

***Abilities and Experience required**
- 3+ years’ experience in purchasing/inventory management environment
- 3+ years’ experience in logistics / transportation
- Strong understanding of purchasing, inventory best practices
- Strong ability to reconcile inventory
- Able to multitask, prioritise and manage time efficiently.
- Maintains effective relationships with suppliers, customers, and other internal/external stakeholders.
- Accurate and precise attention to detail.
- Have good data analytical skills

***Desirable**
- Experience working in a production environment managing stock levels and demand needs.
- Qualifications in logistics or Supply Chain.
