The National Security and Space Program sits within the Bureau's Business Solutions Group and is the primary provider of environmental intelligence to the national security agencies and specifically the Department of Defence and the ADF. Services provided by this Program enhance Australia's national security agenda through the provision of accurate, timely and relevant environmental intelligence, including space weather, meteorological, oceanographic services and climate data.

Manager Defence Operations - Military Aviation is responsible for personnel and site management at the Defence Weather Service Offices (DWSO) nationally at 7 sites around Australia, leading around 20 personnel in total. As the customer lead for service delivery at the DWSO sites, the occupant will be required to maintain strong relationships with ADF staff on Air Force and Army bases, build partnerships and communicate effectively with ADF to support planning, operations and exercises. Travel may be required.
