Join a core Federal Government Department as Program Manager

**PLEASE NOTE: To be successful in this role, you'll need to have an active AGSVA Baseline security clearance (or higher) and have the capacity to work from the Department's Canberra office full time.**

**Your new company**

This large scale, core Federal Government Department currently has a requirement for an experienced Program Manager to join one of their flagship transformation programs, on a short-term contract with extensions as required.

**Your new role**

Working as part of the PMO, you'll ensure consistent and high quality delivery of the division's flagship transformation program, leading governance and assurance activities whilst uplifting capability broadly across the program. Day to day your responsibilities will include:

- Prepare and deliver high-level briefings, reports, planning documents and papers to Senior Executives and other forums as required.
- Actively manage risks and issues, including escalation through appropriate channels.
- Research, analyse and solve problems using appropriate judgement.
- Demonstrate high-level interpersonal and communication skills and engage with all stakeholders effectively and sensitively.
- Manage change and support others through the process.
- Demonstrate high level business insights and represent the agency in external stakeholder forums.
- Demonstrate highly developed strategic planning skills to determine work priorities and deliver business outcomes.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Extensive experience in managing large and complex programs.
- Extensive knowledge of and experience in Program and Project Management Frameworks, practices and policies.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills in dealing with complex situations.
- Highly developed organisational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Federal Government experience.
