A leading government agency is seeking a
**Data Governance Analyst** for a
**6 month** contract based in Parramatta/hybrid role.

This role requires an understanding of data management, business processes, and how technology can be used to support data collection and reporting. This role works across multiple stakeholders to deliver a robust, customer-centric framework.

**Key responsibilities for this role**:

- Create and conduct governance processes to measure data management and data quality maturity across various domains
- Create, update & support policies, standards, and processes related to data management, quality, access, and security are followed in all environments. Create repeatable data management processes within Data Governance
- Work with stakeholders to understand, prioritise, and document business and technical needs, and to ensure alignment with DG strategy
- Support the implementation of a new data lineage, metadata & reference data management framework and technology solution (Data Architecture Phase II). Utilise this solution to identify, initiate and champion improvements in data quality, sustainability and security.
- Contribute to the management of a portfolio of data governance initiatives. This includes the development of concepts, business cases, project planning, and delivery.
- Maintain strong relationships with the group data management (IPM & SES) and delivery teams
- Creation of some simple reports, data visualisations and dashboards using PowerBI;

**Key requirements for this role**:

- You have experience working in data management and/or quality management systems.
- You have effective communication and collaboration skills to engage with a variety of stakeholders.
- Prior experience in PowerBI or other visualisation tools is highly valued.
- Experience in energy or emissions data is useful but not required.
