Job Summary:
The Building Maintenance Yard Assistant is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the building maintenance yard. This includes performing various tasks related to the maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, and grounds. The assistant will work closely with the maintenance team to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and in a timely manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Assist in the maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, and grounds.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting, cleaning, and landscaping.
- Assist in the installation and repair of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Help maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of equipment for events or projects.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist in the coordination of maintenance schedules and work orders.
- Provide support to the maintenance team as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- A requirement for regional travel to country depots will be required up to a week at a time when called on.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 + years Previous experience in building maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to operate common hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Must have great attitude and a willingness to work.
- Fork lift ticket is required
- must have your own transport

Working Conditions:
The Building Maintenance Yard Assistant will primarily work outdoors in various weather conditions. They may be exposed to dust, dirt, and other environmental factors. The assistant may also be required to work in confined spaces or at heights. The position may involve occasional evening or weekend work, depending on the needs of the organization.
