**THE ROLE**
We’re on the lookout for a dynamic and results-driven **State Retail Manager** to lead our VIC and TAS network of company-owned and franchise stores. Reporting to the National Retail Manager, this influential leadership role is pivotal in delivering our five-year growth strategy, ensuring operational excellence, and cultivating a high-performing team culture.
You'll be a strategic partner to our franchisees and store managers, coaching, mentoring, and supporting them to meet targets, drive revenue, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. From recruiting the right talent and diagnosing store challenges to executing business plans and ensuring safety standards, you’ll have end-to-end accountability across the region.
**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:
- Coach and develop store leaders in budget management, strategy, and performance
- Conduct store visits, reviews, and one-on-one coaching to lift results and engagement
- Champion sales growth and customer excellence in line with our brand promise
- Drive business development and support store leaders in new client acquisition
- Identify operational efficiencies, implement improvements, and influence franchisee success
- Maintain high standards across safety, compliance, merchandising, and brand initiatives
**YOU**
You’re a natural leader with a hands-on approach and a proven ability to influence outcomes across multi-site retail environments. You’re passionate about developing people, driving sales, and achieving results through strategic thinking and operational excellence. You thrive on creating high-performing teams and know how to balance the needs of the customer, business, and team.
**To be successful in this role, you will have**:
- Demonstrated experience leading multi-site retail teams (franchise experience highly regarded)
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret financials and drive performance
- A coaching mindset with a proven track record of building capability in store leaders
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence across all levels
- High standards in operational execution, compliance, and safety
- Proficiency in retail systems and tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, reporting systems)
- A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly within VIC and TAS
