MCIE provides Vocational courses and VET in schools support programs to several schools with around 300 and more students nationally. MCIE is seen as the leading provider within the industry. MCIE pride ourselves on providing high quality training and assessment practices and resources, along with delivering First Aid, Vocational courses and VET programs in Secondary Schools. Due to recent growth and development within the business (there are so many exciting things happening this year), an opportunity for a First Aid Trainer has become available.

MCIE brand is well-known in Vocational Training and Schools for our ECEC and Allied Health programs for delivering:

- RTO services
- First Aid delivery
- Resource and assessment development
- Professional development activities and opportunities
- Pathways programs for students

**The Role**:
This position is available as Part Time or Contract.

The First Aid Trainer’s core responsibilities are to (not limited to):

- Provide contract training services to MCIE VET students and secondary school students, teaching them the importance and techniques of first aid giving them skills for life
- Be adaptable to meet the needs of students with different personalities
- Record outcomes electronically, and assist the administration team in readying schools for their bookings
- Some overnight trips into regional areas (within Victoria) may be included in near future.
- Maintain and update equipment as required
- Must be qualified in HLTAID011 Provide First Aid, HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting and TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Deliver HLTAID011, HLTAID012 and HLTID009 Provide CPR to students and teachers and trainers
- MCIE main office is based in Collins Street and we work with schools in all regions of Victoria

Key skills and requirements:

- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid, HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education
- A natural-born entertainer with strong communication skills
- A strong interest in Vocational training
- Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office (Powerpoint, Outlook etc)
- Willingness to travel (paid for by MCIE)
- Flexible with working hours, commitments to VET class schedules, school appointments and various locations
- A good hourly rate
