**About the role**:
The Principal Analyst will develop and implement strategy to effectively commission and manage Victoria's Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) system and services to support financial and operational sustainability and meet the needs of consumers.
The role involves developing effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders including Health Services and NGO and a range of program and policy areas within the department.
The successful applicant will demonstrate sound leadership and people management skills, as well as an ability to influence others to maximise efficiency and effectiveness of the Victorian health workforces and improve outcomes for Victorians.

- Tertiary qualification in health or a related field is desirable.

Expertise in health system reform.

A strong understanding of the Victorian health system, and knowledge of the department and its operating processes and information systems is essential.
