**The Role**:
Excellent permanent opportunity for a Community Engagement Officer to join our Asset Development team to support community and stakeholder engagement initiatives during the development, construction and operational phases of renewable energy generation and other assets.

The incumbent will be accountable to the Stakeholder and Community Engagement Manager and will be required to travel to regional areas and interstate as required.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Produce content for a variety of channels including websites, presentations, letters, flyers, briefings and social media
- Contribute to the design and delivery of community engagement events and marketing and advertising materials
- Communicate appropriately and effectively with a wide variety of stakeholder and community members, including responding to stakeholder enquiries, objections and complaints in a timely manner
- Develop and maintain relationships with journalists from local and regional media outlets, draft responses to media enquiries and lead the proactive writing of media releases
- Development of online and in-person engagement tools and mechanisms (surveys etc)

**About You**:
To be successful in this role, you will have gained a few years’ experience in community relations or stakeholder engagement, preferably in the development of renewable power generation assets such as wind or solar in agricultural / rural areas. You possess highly developed interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with the community and you are able to design and produce communication and engagement materials for a wide range of audiences. You are collaborative in your approach, persuasive when needed and action oriented.
