**The Company**

Belgravia Leisure proudly manage the City of Sydney's six world-class aquatic and fitness centres, including; Gunyama Park Aquatic and Recreation Centre, Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre, Cook + Phillip Park Pool, Andrew 'Boy' Charlton Pool, Victoria Park Pool and Prince Alfred Park Pool.

These Centres play an important role in connecting the City's residents, workers and visitors to a diversified mix of industry leading recreational pursuits. As part of our commitment to Connecting Community to leisure our objective is to provide equitable access to affordable community facilities, programs and services to deliver centres that are diverse, welcoming and inclusive.

**The Role**

The Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for building meaningful and lasting relationships within the City of Sydney to service and support community needs, including but not limited to: People With Disability (PWD), Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders (ATSI), multicultural people, the homeless, and those that identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex and Queer (LGBTIQ).

Reporting directly to the Regional Manager, City of Sydney, the primary focus of the role will be to:

- Lead established community engagement activities and initiatives outlined in the annual business plans.
- Work with the Centre Management team to ensure that programming and services are tailored to meet specific community needs.
- Work with the Centre Management teams to identify potential barriers that prevent the community from participating in leisure programs and services, and implement strategies to remove these barriers.
- Identify, engage and collaborate with a network of key community members and groups that can assist in the implementation of programs within that aquatic venues that will enhance social capital.
- Collect relevant information and data to evaluate and report the impact of community programs. Identify opportunities to ensure that established program are sustainable and self-sufficient.
