**About the role**:
Reporting to Team Leader Tree Establishment & Mowing, the Field Officer Parks Gardener is responsible for the delivery and implementation of works aligned to Field Services Maintenance Service Level programs for streets and reserves across the city.

This position is predominantly in the Mowing department operating a front deck mower across various sites throughout the City but at times will be required to support the Tree Establishment Team in planting street trees to achieve Councils canopy targets.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Maintain, monitor and report on the appearance of Council’s open spaces and assets, weed control, planting, pruning and mowing.
- Work with other departments and/or teams to deliver MSL programs by undertaking broad acre and horticultural activities and any assigned reactive work including urgent requests.
- Mentor and coach new team members including trainees

**It is essential that the successful applicant has the following**:

- Current Class C Drivers Licence
- Work Safely in the Construction Industry (Whitecard)
- Work Zone Traffic Management ticket

It is also essential that the successful applicant has a current DHS General Employment Probity /DHS Working with Children check or the willingness to obtain one.
