This position is to join a procurement team providing critical support to the Finance and Infrastructure team. Managing a portfolio of $250-300 million. This role is best suited to someone with strong Procurement/ Contract Management experience, a process improvement/ solution focused mindset and someone who can hit the ground running and make this role their own.
**Responsibilities***:
- Reporting, analysis, interpretation and evaluation of data, including contract, spend information, historical, forecast and trend analysis, consumption, commodity/market, financial, performance, metrics and benchmarking.
- Research and analyse supply markets to determine market segmentation, trends, issues, maturity, risks and relative organisational position to identify opportunities and inform sourcing strategies, such as identifying procurement history and future value improvement saving.
- Develop reporting requirements for the effective management of supplier performance and to track and report on benefits delivered.
- Develop evaluation criteria and associated frameworks and processes to best evaluate market responses to RFX initiatives
- Supplier management, including implementation of new suppliers and contract closure activities. Benefits tracking, including financial and non-financial benefits.
- Stakeholder engagement and relationship management with contractual partners
- Coordinating approval process with service providers, reviewing terms of business, coordinate and assist the preparation of all required documentation and manage approval processes etc.
- Maintain procurement guidelines consistent with MACS procurement policies and processes that are efficient, comply with policy and are transparent
- Monitoring and reporting on contract expenditure to stakeholders within the business
- Develop clear written business cases for Executive approval.
- Maintain a vendor charter that governs how service providers engage with each other and company staff
- Understanding probity requirements and implementing this in processes
- Ad hoc duties within the procurement team
**Skills and experience**
**required***:
- More than 3 years' experience working in the procurement space
- Experienced in producing quality reports and deliverables.
- Demonstrated knowledge of end-to-end procurement for high value complex requirements,
- Advanced Excel skills and a proven capability to derive insights from complex data sets
- A strong desire to continuously review and improve current policies, procedures, and processes
- Excellent attention to detail is essential
