An exciting opportunity to support a national procurement function through commercial analysis, reporting, and stakeholder engagement. This role suits an analytical thinker eager to grow within a collaborative, people-first workplace.
Client Details
Our client is a well-established Australian retail brand with deep roots in the community and a reputation for being more than just a workplace. They pride themselves on creating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment where team members are encouraged to be themselves and supported in their career development.
With a rich heritage and a commitment to innovation and inclusivity, the company has evolved from its modest beginnings into a national household name. Their culture is built around respect, trust, and a strong sense of belonging. The organisation offers not only professional growth but also personal connection.
They actively support diversity, inclusion, and flexibility, and are passionate about empowering people to live balanced lives, whether through lifestyle leave, volunteer days, or hybrid work options. A strong leadership team and a nationwide presence provide plenty of opportunities for progression and learning.
Description
The Procurement Analyst will provide crucial analytical and event support across the procurement function. Key responsibilities include:
- Support for Procurement Events: Assist with the delivery of procurement events in collaboration with Procurement Managers, including planning, coordination, and follow-up activities.
- Commercial & Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis on procurement events, providing data-driven insights that support negotiation, sourcing, and decision-making processes.
- Procurement Reporting: Develop and maintain procurement-related reporting, including spend profiles, supplier data, and category insights to inform business strategy.
- Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Identify opportunities to improve processes and workflows within the procurement team and contribute to their execution.
- Analytical Support: Provide general support to the procurement team through modelling, report building, and ad-hoc data analysis.
- Stakeholder Communication: Engage with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, understand project scopes, and ensure alignment throughout procurement activities.
Profile
The ideal candidate will have a background in procurement or financial analysis, with a naturally analytical mindset and a strong grasp of data tools such as Excel and MicroStrategy. Proficiency in Power BI is a plus but not essential.
You should be adaptable, open-minded, and capable of maintaining a positive outlook during change or ambiguity. Strong time management, prioritisation, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are key traits.
Building relationships comes naturally to you-you understand how to engage stakeholders and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. You'll be flexible, a strong communicator, and open to new perspectives and ways of analysing results.
Above all, you're a team player who values connection and is eager to grow in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Job Offer
This role offers a rare opportunity to join a respected national brand in a role that balances analytical challenge with meaningful collaboration. You'll enjoy:
- Flexible Hybrid Working: Work from home or in a modern Docklands-based office.
- Generous Team Discounts: Exclusive access to team member product discounts.
- Leave Benefits: Access to lifestyle leave and volunteer leave to support your work-life balance.
- Supportive Culture: A caring, inclusive team with leaders invested in your growth and wellbeing.
