It is a trusted provider of products and services to the growing, high spending senior demographic which is often neglected and not effectively reached by traditional retail and e-commerce players. The Group markets and sells in Australia, New Zealand and Asia communicating directly with its customers through online, print, television and digital publishing. The business operates through two divisions Innovations and TVSN.

**THE ROLE**:
A fixed term parental leave cover opportunity for 14 months. In this role you will actively partner with Direct Group entities to provide superior and professional people services to managers and employees through the resolution of generalist People & Culture matters, recruitment of top talent, and the delivery of cohesive People & Culture programs, initiatives and advice.

**WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT**:

- Partnering with leaders to design and implement organisational change projects
- Project management the implementation of a new HRIS and Learner Management System
- Upskilling leaders on the new performance review process
- Managing and coordinating the end-to-end recruitment process for specific business units
- Board reports - preparing and analysing employee data, including weekly and monthly reporting as required
- Updating policies and procedures
- Create employee communications
- Managing employee relation matters

**WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU**:

- Demonstrated stakeholder management skills
- Sound knowledge and ability to interpret current employment legislation as well as contemporary people and culture practices, policies and trends
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and promote adherence to legislative compliance
- Strong written communication skills, with an ability to write general correspondence
- Well-developed verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to build rapport, interact effectively at all levels, and provide support and advice
- Ability to work independently and contribute effectively as a team member to achieve goals
- Strong organisational, planning and time management skills with an ability to priorities and manage workload, meet deadlines and adapt to changing circumstances
- Ability to use problem solving skills to identify problems and establish an appropriate solution
