An exciting opportunity for a Budget and Support Officer to join a WA State Government department.

**Your new company**

We have partnered with a government department client to assist in their search for a level 3 Budget and Support Officer. Reporting to the Executive Manager, the role is to monitor budget performance and conduct cost benefit analysis.

The role is based in East Perth and is a 3-month temporary assignment with extension possibilities. Ideally, you will be able to commence work as soon as possible, and are willing to undergo the department's required background screening processes.

**Your new role**

As a Budget and Support Officer, your responsibilities will include:

- Monitor budget performance and expenditure, identifying and reporting early trends
- Monitor cash requirements
- Conduct cost benefit analysis
- Contribute to the annual budget cycle and assist with management reports

**What you'll need to succeed**

Previous experience in a similar role is essential, as is:

- Background in budgeting
- Good spreadsheet skills
- Analytically minded and problem-solving
- Willing to undergo background screening check if successful
