**The Role**
Reporting to the Assistant Director Customer Service, the Team Manager is responsible for the management of the Customer Service team including contact centre staff and workforce management team at the APS3, APS4 and APS5 level. The Team Manager works closely with Executive Level staff and the Coaching and Capabilities Manager and the Capacity and Capabilities Manager to support the objectives of the USI Customer Service team.
**Skills and Capabilities**
We are seeking individuals with the following skills and capabilities:
- Experience in leading a diverse team of individuals within a Government Contact Centre/service delivery environment
- Proven ability to anticipate and establish priorities, monitor progress and work to deliver required corporate outcomes within set timeframes
- Proven ability to effectively manage people, including when dealing with underperformance
- Demonstrated knowledge of, or ability to quickly acquire proficiency in, the Australian Public Service Human Resourcing and contracting environment
**The Opportunity**
This position is available to Ongoing APS employees as a temporary transfer at level and/or a temporary performance (Acting) opportunity for a period of 6 months.
