As they take ownership of a new Distribution Centre (DC) in Truganina, this well-known national retailer need the support of an experienced HR Business Partner to help make this acquisition a success

**The Opportunity**

Unique in its greenfield remit, you will have the opportunity to set the culture, embed people processes and work with senior leaders while leveraging the resources and expertise of the broader P&C function.

Reporting into the Head of People & Culture and partnering closely with the Site Manager, the role will support a blue-collar workforce of up to 150 team members working across 3 shifts. A key initial focus of the role will be establishing relationships across the various teams onsite, as well as understanding their needs and putting appropriate solutions in place. Given the greenfield nature of the site, this would also include setting up systems and processes to enable efficiencies and ease of use.

This site does have a union presence, and this role would work collaboratively with union delegates and representatives to ensure that there is a respectful and positive working relationship in place to meet the needs of all parties.

In setting up the site (from a P&C perspective), the incumbent will not be completely starting from scratch. They will benefit from leveraging the expertise that exists in the CoE structure that includes; Recruitment, L&OD, Talent Management, Payroll and HR Systems. This role sits in the Business Partnering team and will have the full support of the Head of P&C as well as their peers.

**About you**

A critical appointment, we are seeking an experienced HR Generalist who has a demonstrated track record across all facets of the employee lifecycle. Experience within a manufacturing/industrial environment would be ideal along with time supporting a unionised workforce. A natural relationship builder, your interpersonal style allows you to easily engage with stakeholders at all levels.

An initial 6-month contract, there is the strong potential for an ongoing arrangement.
