**Description**:
**Overview of role**:
The Finance Analyst, forming part of the Finance Business Partner team, will analyse Coliban Water's financial performance, forecast future trends, and identify opportunities for financial efficiency. They will guide budget owners with data-driven insights, produce reports, and provide performance commentary to the Board and senior stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**As our Finance Analyst, you’ll be accountable for**:
Drive optimal financial decision making through analysing financial and non-financial data and reports.
Lead and develop the financial model including preparation of consolidated financial modelling for monthly reporting and annual budgets (Balance, Sheet, Cashflow, KPIs).
Gather, review and analyse key business and commercial data including financial reports, budgets, billing data, forecasts, KPIs and other key metrics to support business performance and improvement strategies.
Refining and streamlining processes, building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, and collaborating across finance teams. Drive a culture of financial integrity and awareness through training to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, business practices, policies, and procedures.
**About you**:
Tertiary accounting qualification, preferably with CPA or CA qualifications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse financial and non-financial data.
Experience and proficiency using accounting software, MS Excel and Power BI.
A ‘can do’ approach that is customer focussed and results oriented together with existing practices to stay current with regulations and accounting standards.
Demonstrated positive and proactive communication and interpersonal skills.
Display strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
Continuous improvement mindset, challenge the status quo.
