About the team

Group Treasury provides the Bendigo and Adelaide Group with liquidity management, wholesale funding, balance sheet interest rate risk management, securitisation and capital management services.

About the role

The Analyst, Liquidity Management will be responsible for assisting with the management of the Group’s liquidity position, issuing short term funding instruments into wholesale markets, investment of surplus cash in repo markets, and estimating LCR and other balance sheet metrics. Furthermore, preparing desk and management reporting and analysis. The role will provide assistance where required for other Group Treasury related activities including BEN’s liquid asset portfolio management, longer term funding activities, or management reporting and analysis as required.

The small team will invest in coaching, training and developing the new staff member and will suit someone with drive, curiosity and motivation to learn. Here you can build a long-term career specialising in the field.

Experience, skills and capabilities

Tertiary qualification in Banking and Finance, Commerce, Risk Management, Information Technology or a quantitative discipline such as Engineering, Mathematics or Actuarial Science is preferred
Basic understanding of domestic and international economics and financial markets and willingness to learn and develop this knowledge
Advanced Microsoft Excel (including VBA or other coding)
A strong work ethic with a proven ability to show initiative, manage competing priorities and deliver to agreed deadlines
Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills and a high level of attention to detail.

Highly regarded

While not compulsory, knowledge of Prudential Standard APS 210 ‘Liquidity’ will be recognised
Quantum Treasury Management system knowledge highly regarded but not mandatory
