**About the role**:
The Asset Manager is responsible for managing the operational and maintenance (O&M) deliverables of large-scale solar farms, to ensure performance targets are met. The position supports the management of external O&M contracts in addition to internal employees, aligned to the asset management strategy.
This is a full-time position for parental leave cover. Fixed term role for 12 months.
**What you’ll deliver**:
- Manage and lead projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within budget, to the required quality, ensuring that OH&S and environmental standards, along with customer and commercial, needs are met.
- Support with financial management including specific cost control, variation management, accurate month end reporting and project forecasting.
- Develop and manage effective customer relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactively propose strategies to improve team or individual performance.
- Develop and improve asset management systems.
- Provide guidance, training and education on all aspects of project/asset management.
- Provide feedback and guidance to the engineering group, business development, and contracts teams to assist in the improvement of business decisions during the negotiation of new projects.
- Provide feedback on draft contracts where asset management is concerned and assist contracts teams with strategy and drafting improvements.
**To succeed in the role you’ll have**:
- Previous experience working in challenging projects as a Project Manager or Asset Manager, preferably in an electrical generation, distribution, sub-transmission, transmission and/or infrastructure environment
- Stakeholder and relationship management skills, across multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience and sound judgement to provide relevant feedback and guidance to the engineering group, business development, and contracts teams to assist in the improvement of business decisions during the negotiation of new projects
- Detailed knowledge of the concepts and principles of project management, quality assurance and control, and health, safety and environmental management
- Practical experience of asset management, maintenance practices, project management, contract management and change management.
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering and project management (desirable)
