Chisholm is seeking an experienced Assets Manager for our Campus Services and Infrastructure team.

ABOUT THE ROLEThe Assets Manager is responsible for leading and managing Chisholm's facilities maintenance contracts and delivery of asset replacement and minor capital projects. This role ensures the alignment of asset services with Chisholm's strategic objectives while focusing on meeting compliance obligations, optimising asset lifecycle performance and implementing sustainability practices. Reporting to the Head of Campus Services & Infrastructure (CSI), the Assets Manager is a member of the CSI Leadership Team (CSILT).

The Assets Manager will support and administer Chisholm's capital works projects, deliver asset upgrade programs, manage asset planning processes and assist in contract management activities. The Assets Manager will promote and support a collaborative planning culture that considers external funding options, innovations and efficiencies to maximise Chisholm's resources and optimise asset life cycles.

The Assets Manager will liaise closely with internal and external stakeholders including Government, collaborate with appointed third-party Project Directors and project delivery staff, and develop and implement asset upgrade programs to ensure timely delivery and management of expenditure against program and project budgets.

As an Asset Manager, your key responsibilities include:

  • Support the development, evaluation, and review of Chisholm's assets to optimise asset lifecycle performance.
  • Lead a team of asset coordinators to provide responsive, customer centric responsive maintenance services.
  • Planning of asset replacement and upgrade works in line with Chisholm's Capital Masterplan and Sustainability Plan.
  • Provide input for quarterly reporting to the Infrastructure, Systems & Planning Committee on asset management and minor capital works activities undertaken by Campus Services & Infrastructure.
  • Maintain current understanding of government policies and procedure relating to CSI procurement activities.
  • Maintain CSI Asset registers and systems
  • Delivery of annual asset maintenance program and minor capital works program within budget and schedule.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and manage external project consultants for successful project delivery.
  • Effectively manage maintenance service contracts and programs for asset groups

ABOUT YOU

You are a highly motivated individual with-

  • Proven leadership capabilities, with a track record of effective people management.
  • Expertise in asset management and compliance with legislation, industry standards and government regulations.
  • Project management and coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of asset lifecycle planning and infrastructure project delivery.
  • A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset with a commitment to public value.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and resources.

Qualifications required for the role:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Asset Management, Construction or Project Management, or related discipline; or equivalent experience (Trade-qualified in Mechanical, Electrical or Hydraulic Services, with demonstrated leadership in facilities and maintenance management)
