About the role: *
This is an exciting opportunity to make an impact as we continue to grow at Ignition. The role will be based in Sydney, NSW and will report to the Director, People & Culture Business Partnering, who is based in Toronto, Canada.
We are looking for a true business partner to lead and deliver strategic value to an array of client groups in our APAC business (Australia, New Zealand and Philippines). Our APAC team is our largest employee base, and as such we need a savvy HR professional for our leaders to partner with in order to build and develop successful teams.

The People & Culture (P&C) Business Partner plays a crucial role in the execution of P&C strategic objectives and operations across Ignition. This role will partner with Business Leaders in support of various strategic business objectives, and acts as an internal advisor, providing advice and coaching across all elements of the employee lifecycle. Focused on driving business success, this role provides HR leadership, both strategic and operational across the APAC region.
Further, this role plays a key role within the P&C team on various ad-hoc projects and cyclical programs across the breadth of the employee lifecycle in collaboration with the centers of excellence within the team: P&C Operations, compliance, employee relations, organisational design, reward and recognition, employee engagement, recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, compensation and benefits, and learning & development.
**What your day to day will look like**:

- Actively partner with stakeholders, demonstrating clear business acumen and an ability to drive for results and get things done. Prioritise key business needs and drive HR initiatives delivering clear value add through aligning talent with team and business objectives
- Assist leaders with strategic planning and forecasting needs regarding people and organisational culture
- Provide assistance and guidance to line management on a broad range of human resource policies, programs, and practices
- Coach business leaders and managers on people management best practices
- Maintain current understanding of business leaders’ department, strategy, and people related issues by becoming a valuable member of the business’s leadership team
- Work alongside P&C Centers of Excellence to implement HR-related programs focused on the likes of remuneration & benefits, rewards and recognition, learning and development, employee engagement, organisational effectiveness and design and leading for performance
- Provide guidance, counsel, and training to managers and employees (where necessary to mitigate business risk) on employee relations issues
- Collaborate with business leaders to design organisational structures, job roles, and talent management processes to drive organisational strategy
- Function as HR lead and guide the stakeholders and people through various change management initiatives
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant legislation and regulation and participate in developing appropriate policies and procedures
- Analyse a broad range of HR data to identify valid insights, and convert these insights into recommendations the business can use to make decisions

Qualifications*
What you need to succeed: *
- Significant experience as People & Culture/Human Resource Business Partner, covering a wide range of HR disciplines and stakeholders
- Significant understanding of P&C fundamentals, including recruitment, employment & labour law, performance management, employee engagement, compensation, learning and development and employee relations; other skills or experience of general HR/P&C practices, systems and methodologies also an asset
- Ability to operate autonomously and confidently, and comfortable working with a globally distributed P&C team
- A strong change management agent with the ability to deal with competing priorities and be able to manage time appropriately; strong organisational and project management skills
