**About the role**:
Guardian Network is seeking qualified Support Workers. Home Care Workers provide direct care and domestic assistance duties, as well as social support and transport as required for clients. You will support our customers across Metropolitan Melbourne and Mornington Peninsula.

In this role, you will:

- Ensure that client’s rights, cultural, spiritual and other individual needs are incorporated in all aspects of care and daily living.
- Work within a multidisciplinary team, provide effective support to clients, recognise changes in clients’ conditions and escalate observations and concerns in accordance with Guardian Network processes.
- Promote and participate in quality activities, and provide outstanding customer service maintaining friendly, supportive and professional relationships with clients, their relatives and friends.
- Support colleagues by sharing knowledge and expertise.

**About you**:
You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our clients, enhancing their self-esteem and empowering them to make choices.

This is the place for you if you have:

- Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged or Disability) or equivalent.
- Experience in a home care setting is desirable.
- Comprehensive knowledge in community care with a commitment to high standards of care for clients and their families.
- Understanding of client directed care.

**Essentials for working in Aged Care**:

- A current Working with Children check.
- Current and ongoing flu and COVID-19 Vaccinations.
- Australian working rights.
- Ability to pass a national police clearance.

COVID-19 considerations:
All support workers are required to wear PPE when attending to clients. In addition support workers are required to complete Covid-19 screening questions before entering the clients home.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Melbourne VIC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
