Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing procurement strategies aligned with organisational goals.
- Leading sourcing initiatives, vendor selection, and contract negotiations.
- Monitoring supplier performance, resolving issues, and driving continuous improvement.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders (finance, operations, etc.) to ensure seamless procurement processes.
- Analysing market trends, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and managing risk.
- Fostering strong relationships with suppliers and maintaining a competitive supplier base.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Proven experience as a procurement professional, ideally in a leadership role.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage complex contracts.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Prior experience in government will be highly regarded.
