**About Us**:
The Gap State High School has been proudly educating students within the north western suburbs since it first opened in 1960. The school has grown steadily over this time and the facilities have been steadily extended and upgraded on the current site. It is located within approximately a 15 minute drive from the Brisbane CBD and enjoys good access to public transport.

**About the Role**:
The Project Officer role will provide high level administration, strategic and operational leadership of The Gap State High School's volleyball program.
**Duties will include, but are not limited to**:

- Provide administrative duties for the organisation of recruitment, training and competitions
- Develop and implement, alongside the coaching/teaching team - training schedules, launch events, annual camp, competitions and any additional volleyball activities as required.
- Liaise with the Specialist Volleyball Program Parent Support Group
- Design and implement, alongside the teaching team, the program, policies and practices associated with the program ensuring they align with the school's values of Thinking Big, Stepping Up, Paying it Forward and Being Kind
- Oversee financial management and accountability for relevant Volleyball activities.
- Manage all communications to students, parents, school, community and external networks in relation to the volleyball program.
- Oversee all facilities and equipment for the program.
- Manage matters of risk, compliance, child protection and workplace health and safety for the Specialist Volleyball Program.
- Ongoing development of one, three
- and five-year plans for the activity.
- Experience in sports management, administration and operations;
- Networks that will support coaching staff to access strength and conditioning programs;
- In-depth knowledge and experience of Volleyball;
- Ability to meet demands of deadlines and budget limitations;
- Ability to work in, and contribute to, a creative and dynamic environment; and manage multiple tasks with precision;
- Organise and co-ordinate volleyball staff member team;
- Demonstrated competent level of interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills;
- Ability to contribute to strategic planning processes related to growing an excellent Specialist Volleyball Program.
