Davidson are pleased to be partnering with a leading transport and rail organisation in the search for their new Manager, Rolling Stock Support Services. This organisation has a fantastic reputation of safety, customer satisfaction, punctuality, and superior access to all parts of suburban and metropolitan Melbourne.
As a key senior leader, you will oversee all rolling stock reporting, safety, training and quality across key parts of the organisation whilst maintaining a focus on legislative and contractual needs. In addition, you will:
- Oversee the management and delivery of effective support services ensuring all Rolling Stock contractual, legislative and business requirements are met.
- Lead, develop and implement works planning and scheduling to meet operational, franchise and continuous improvement requirements.
- Drive all contractual and business reporting obligations (Annual RS Works Plan & monthly reports).
- Be accountable for the safety, health and welfare of employees and contractors in the Rolling Stock function.
- Monitor, review and report on functional performance internally
- Have proven and demonstrated leadership skills and capabilities.
To be considered for this opportunity you will ideally have experience in leading a large-scale planning or training function across rail, aviation or the broader transport or automotive sector. You will need to be an outcome focused leader who enables the rest of the organisation with quality training, risk and quality strategies. Understanding the day-to-day operations and how key maintenance plans are executed is important as well as being able to provide a longer term strategic and holistic view and strategy. With a broader team of 15-20 FTE that requires leadership and direction, you will be comfortable setting the agenda and functional plan. A competitive renumeration package equivalent to a director or head of is on offer.
