We’re hiring for a **Temporary (12 month with possible extension) **Laboratory Assistant **, who’ll be based at our 40-hectare primary processing site in Cannon Hill.

**The Role**
In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the dispatch and submission of food safety and environmental samples to approved third-party contractors. You will also accurately record results, data, and information to facilitate timely reporting.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare samples and relevant documentation for dispatch to third-party contractors
- Manage consumables and notify the QA Manager if restocking is required
- Ensure performance of tests in accordance with the sample plan and internal customer requirements
- Ensure accurate, timely recording of results and that reporting requirements are met
- Maintain awareness of food safety and quality policies, AQIS, and customer requirements. Demonstrate competence in personal health and hygiene procedures
