Contracts Risk Manager

**Your New Opportunity**:
A rare and fantastic new opportunity is now available for a passionate individual to join our growing organisation in supporting various aspects of contract risk management, including monitoring & compliance. Ensuring quality assurance associated with our waste, recycling, recovery, logistics, landfill, land rehabilitation and quarrying operations.
This is an autonomous role, however, working closely with the CEO’s, Senior Managers and Legal function, with General Counsel oversight.

**You will have key responsibility in**:

- Assist with the review and commercial negotiation of key commercial contracts in the sectors in which the ResourceCo Group operates
- Assist with the commercial negotiation and management of key business continuity contracts such as insurance, leases, licences and permits
- Strong focus on credit risk management with analysis of customer payment trends, identification of and reporting on high-risk customers along the construction industry supply chain to support operational decision-making
- Assessment and day-to-day management of key contractual risks including but not limited to, operational risk management, and management of contractual compliance requirements
- Acting as the commercial conduit between corporate services, operations and the customer to ensure management of contractual obligations and mitigation of contractual risk. This includes engaging and collaborating with internal stakeholders, it likewise includes direct client interface where required to drive commercial or risk management outcomes
- Oversight of the implementation of contract risk management systems including contract risk matrix, document management system, key registers (including lease and insurance registers) and development of any relevant policies, procedures and precedents

**About you**:

- Relevant Tertiary Bachelors qualification in an appropriate law, commerce, construction, management or risk management, discipline is highly desirable
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role in a construction contract negotiation, procurement, contract management or commercial team
- Experience in leading large projects effectively to deliver commercial outcomes preferred
- Strong financial and business acumen
- Effective skills in communication, analytical reasoning, time management and solution centric mediation

Additionally, your strong problem-solving skills and ability to present effective contractual solutions will create great value for our organisation.
