We are now seeking a proven commercial leader to drive strategic growth, sales performance, and operational excellence in New South Wales.
About the Role
As the State Business Manager (NSW), you will lead a high-performing team of three direct reports across sales and operations, with indirect responsibility for the installations and delivery teams. You will drive profitable growth and operational excellence through strong commercial leadership, disciplined sales and operational execution, and a relentless focus on results. This pivotal role blends strategic oversight with hands-on management to ensure Stairlock continues to set the benchmark for quality, service, and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Drive revenue through sales performance, pipeline discipline, builder acquisition, and key-account growth.
Lead and develop a high-performing team across sales and operations.
Deliver on state revenue, gross profit and DIFOT performance targets.
Drive forecasting accuracy, margin control and cost-to-serve efficiency, and sustainability.
Strengthen builder partnerships through reliability, communication and trust.
Ensure operational excellence in installations and customer satisfaction.
Collaborate nationally on strategic projects, technology improvements and process innovation.
What You Bring
You are a commercially astute leader who balances strategic thinking with hands-on leadership to achieve tangible results.
Relevant experience within the construction, manufacturing or building materials industries (B2B supply).
A strong background in sales leadership, business development and key account management.
Experience managing sales, operations or business units with full commercial accountability.
Strong financial literacy, including understanding of cost-to-serve, GP%, forecasting and KPIs.
Operational discipline, planning and delivery performance management.
Exceptional communication and people leadership skills.
