**About the role**

Mid-sized distribution business seeking an experienced and committed Accounts Receivable Officer to take full responsibility of our Debtors function. This role will see you work collaboratively with the accounts team assisting in day-to-day accounts receivable as well as month end.

Within the accounts receivable function, you will be responsible for statement reconciliations, follow up on outstanding accounts and reporting.

**Key Areas of Responsibility**
- Communicate with sales on customer accounts
- Daily Reconciliation of Bank accounts, credit-card payments
- Maintenance and reconciliation of Order Changes and adjustments on sales orders
- Keeping accurate notes and updating the ERP system
- Escalating anomalies through to the Finance Manager
- Daily invoicing
- Assisting with preparation of end of year & month end accounts
- Ad Hoc duties as required

**What are the skills, experience and attributes required to be successful?**
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated collections experience in a high-volume environment
- Good emotional intelligence with the ability to diplomatically influence outcomes
- Resilience in dealing with difficult situations
- Experience in using business systems including ERP and Accounting packages
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
- Good attention to detail, strong capabilities in terms of prioritising work and meeting deadlines
- Flexibility and open-mindedness to work effectively in a team environment
- Well-developed computer skills including proficiency in MS Office Suite
