**Position Overview**:
Verve Partners are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Procurement and Contracts Officer on a 12-month contract basis. This role has the potential to transition into a permanent position based on successful demonstration of return on investment. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in optimising the organisations procurement and contract management processes, driving efficiency and value for money, whilst relieving the operational staff of contract negotiations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct a thorough audit of our current procurement processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that all procurement activities result in maximum value for money without compromising on quality.
- Assume responsibility for contract negotiations, alleviating the Operations staff from this burden and ensuring that contracts are well-structured, fair, and aligned with our business goals.
- Proficiently review, revise, and execute contracts, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail while adhering to established guidelines.
- Strategically identify opportunities for cost savings and fiscal efficiencies within procurement and contract management processes.
- Working closely with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless procurement operations and effective contract management.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience 5 in procurement and contract management roles, demonstrating a track record of successful negotiations and process improvement.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex procurement situations and provide innovative solutions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to engage with stakeholders effectively.
- Detail-oriented mindset to ensure accuracy in contract review and execution.
- Familiarity with fiscal management and the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Confidence in taking initiative and working independently while collaborating within a team environment.
- Proficiency in relevant procurement software and tools.
