An exciting opportunity has become available for a **Back Office Service Desk Analyst** to join a growing business with global reach. You will have an opportunity to support the Commodities & Global Markets businesses and work across all parts of the organisation in supporting the Settlements & Payments function. In addition, you will learn from the best and engage in project work, operational process improvement initiatives, site reliability engineering and system upgrades. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to gain both experience, exposure, and mentorship in the Settlements and Payments team.
As a motivated **Back Office Support Analyst**, you will join a talented global technology team focused on high quality and consistent delivery to support the Commodities and Global Markets business group in meeting their business objectives. The role is aligned to Post Trade & Digital Technology team within Macquarie and supports the core trading business activities, providing the platform for trade settlements, working with Market Operations and Finance to deliver on business needs.
The role of a Support Analyst includes primary responsibility for providing operational technical support across the Settlements & Payments technology platform at Macquarie; this will have the opportunity to engage directly with business users to understand their needs, as well as with the delivery team to deliver change, and the SRE team to ensure platform stability.
**In this role, you will**:
- work closely with business stakeholders and deliver prompt responses to queries from users
- support key cash settlement platforms including vendor product Calypso
- participate in incident, problem, and change management
- be pro-active in process improvement/automation to resolve regular operational issues
- work closely with the global teams (Development, Service Desks, System Integrators, Incident Managers, Problem Managers, etc)
- participate in a follow-the sun support model.
**To be successful in this role, ideally you will have**:
- 1-2 years of experience in a previous support role
- working knowledge of SQL and Unix (both in a physical and cloud environment)
- be pro-active in approach as well, possessing logic and problem-solving ability
- display strong customer service focus and the ability to deliver quality support
- be open to rostered weekend on-call support.
- exposure to Calypso, Post-Trade, Accounting or Settlements processes would be highly regarded but is not necessary
