**About the role**
Based in Cessnock this role will provide specialist advice and support service for clients with complex support and housing needs, who have support arrangements in place. This role will also assist client’s find and sustain accommodation in the private rental market.

You will be responsible for:

- Working with clients and support providers to develop a plan for clients to live independently in private rental
- Liaising with agents or landlords to help find suitable private rental housing
- Working with other agencies to provide coordinated services
- Providing advice and/ or make appropriate referrals to assist clients with complex support and housing needs in accessing appropriate support services.
- Identifying skills gaps within your specialist area and source and provide advice on appropriate training opportunities
- Managing the intake, assessment, and approval process for new applicants to the Private Rental Brokerage service.
- Facilitating and/or delivering Private Rental Assistance products.

**About You**
To be considered for this role, please ensure you have addressed the following essential selection criteria:

- Minimum Certificate IV in Community Service (Social Housing) or related discipline
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Community Housing or a related field.
- Sound understanding of the regulatory and compliance requirements of the Community Housing Sector
- Sound understanding of the Residential Tenancies Act
- Advanced understanding of Housing Pathways Policy and HOMES and RM8 OneTRIM
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
- Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining relationships with clients and other stakeholders
- Current unrestricted drivers’ licence
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination status
