**This role is paid under the Health Professionals and Support Services Award - Support Services Employee $27.07**

**The Opportunity**:
This position will be responsible for the efficient operation of the headspace Cessnock ‘front end’ reception and primary care GP practice. You will be the first point of contact for a range of young people 12- 25 years, including those who may be experiencing mental health problems.

**About you?**

Do you have experience in the following? Then this role is for you
- Reception and administration experience in a medical setting
- Organising appointments
- Engage and liaising with GPs and Allied Health Professionals
- Collect client Minimum Data Set (MDS)
- Monitor and record vaccine fridge temperatures twice daily,
- Liaise with Medicare, IT contractors and process online MBS billings, data entry and performing various administrative duties.

**Essential Criteria**
- High level of computer literacy and the use of appointment software and databases
- Demonstrated understanding and commitment to confidentiality principles.
- High level of organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise work, multi-task, meet deadlines and respond to requests at short notice.
- Demonstrated ability to respond to difficult and/or stressful situations in a calm, sensitive and professional manner.
- Sound knowledge of medical software, the Medicare system and processing of online Medicare payments is preferable.

The successful applicant will possess or willingness to obtain the following: NSW Working with Children Check, National Criminal History Check, First aid & CPR certificate and undertake a pre-employment functional medical.
