Today, Moose Toys is now seeking a Part Time Payroll Analyst to join our Finance team. The hours for this role is flexible across (0.75) FTE.
**Role Objective**
Responsible for accurate and timely delivery of the payroll services for Australian payroll operations and working closely with our Global regions
**Responsibilities**
**_Payroll review_**
- Review Australian payroll calculations, documentation and reports monthly before submitting for payment.
- Review Australian monthly payroll tax, superannuation, child support, Single Choice Payroll (STP) and PAYG reconciliations for monthly submission and payment.
- Review payroll year-end reconciliations for Australian entity - final STP file, payroll tax annual reconciliation, and annual rateable remuneration reconciliation.
**_Labour Analysis_**
- Provide monthly labour analysis for Moose’s Australian entity and provide insights.
- Consolidating monthly labour analysis for Moose globally and provide insights.
- Track labour savings to budget that are utilized in, or overages to be recovered from, relevant overhead budgets.
- Provide monthly commentary on Global labour variances to budget for the Board Report.
- Communicate Global labour performance to budget to Senior Leadership Team (SLT) quarterly.
**_Budget and Headcount Analysis_**
- Allocateg monthly labour by Brand for AU and US business units.
- Manage Australian labour cost budget and re-forecast process.
- Support with Global headcount request process at budget and forecast time.
- Assist in labour transfer pricing on-charge process.
**_Global compensation review_**
- Assist with Global annual compensation review and performance bonus process.
**_Managing ad hoc queries_**
- Analyse movements in staff leave accruals/balances and calculate the impact to the P&L. Where required, communicate the impacts of excessive leave balances to relevant managers.
- Respond to external auditors on payroll queries in a timely manner.
- Assist with preparation for annual Moose Group insurance questionnaire where it pertains to payroll.
**Team support and ad hoc tasks**
- Provide back-up and support to the Payroll Officer where required.
- General filing and record keeping
- Other ad-hoc finance tasks/projects as required from time to time.
**Key Capabilities**
Has the functional and technical knowledge and skills to do the job well and applies this expertise accordingly. Quickly learns new technology, including
- Payroll experience (mandatory)
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office suite. Excel skills will need to be at an Intermediate to advanced level
- Experience with accounting software.
- High level attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to communicate complex matters in a simple manner
- High level analytical and critical thinking skills
