About the Role

Join AGL's Emerging Business Team to develop innovative ventures that drive growth, sustainability, and community impact aligned with our mission - Powering Australian Life. We collaborate on strategy, innovation, and partnerships across various sectors, from start-ups to customers and investors, to tackle challenges in decarbonisation, decentralisation, connectivity, and circularity. We create the foundation for transformative customer trials, products, and services, contributing to a better future.

We are seeking an Operations Lead to support our incubation projects. In this role, you'll nurture these ventures by collaborating with customers and the team to identify insights, experiment, and refine products for scalable success. Your focus will be on delivering exceptional customer experiences across all aspects of the business. Examples of current incubation projects include Electric Vehicle charging and home electrification initiatives.

What you’ll be doing:
- Drive agile incubation operations for accelerated delivery of operations, sales, and customer service.- Enhance MVP (minimum viable product design) and capabilities to boost customer satisfaction.- Proactively identify experiment opportunities to improve customer sign-up, fault resolution, and service adoption.- Ensure compliance and maintain a strong NPS score.- Collaborate on process analysis and design/redesign with relevant stakeholders.- Use customer research to solve problems and deliver impactful solutions.- Cultivate customer relationships for new energy product sales.- Support broader Emerging Business team operations, and share knowledge and lessons learned.- Maintain accurate customer data in CRM tools.- Facilitate third-party supplier onboarding and management.- Manage the customer journey from quotation to sale.- Track and report key performance metrics for incubations.- Display the highest standard of professionalism in dealing with internal stakeholders and external customers.

About You

What you’ll bring to the table:
- Demonstrated effective organisational skills, including the ability to effectively prioritise, manage multiple tasks and deadlines and manage competing priorities within a small team environment.- Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build and maintain productive working relationships, negotiating with a range of stakeholders (including customers).- Keen interest in startup/incubation sales support, operational setup, metrics, and traceability.- Valuable experience in customer service, sales, or account management.- Passion for customer-centric solutions and delivering world-class service.- Preferred knowledge of digital, e-commerce, UX, or front-end development (not mandatory).- Positive attitude, skilled negotiator, and a willingness to learn.- Enjoy setting ambitious goals and tenaciously working towards them with a sense of urgency.- Strong focus on processes, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.- Proactive and energetic sales approach.
