**About the role**:
We’re looking for a **Head of Direct Sales** to join our **Broadcast** Sales**team based in **Melbourne**_._

The purpose of the Head Of Direct is to maximise Southern Cross Austereo’s revenue onto and out of the Melbourne market and provide overall strategic direction and leadership to the Melbourne Direct Sales teams.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Manage all revenue performance for the Melbourne Direct Sales team, develop and implement annual business plans, and ensure clear communication of sales strategies to drive new business and growth from existing accounts.
- Lead and manage Direct Sales Managers, focusing on team performance through recruitment, communication, performance management, training, development, and regular coaching.
- Ensure accurate monthly revenue forecasting for Melbourne stations and interstate, and oversee sales operations, including make goods, barter, and company processes.
- Ensure exceptional customer service by setting performance metrics, collaborating with other sales teams, and working with the HOS and Agency Sales Directors to maximize revenue.
- Build a talent pool, assist with recruitment, and develop sales staff through performance appraisals and coaching, maintaining team morale and motivation.
- As a member of the Melbourne Leadership team, collaborate across Southern Cross Austereo, ensure feedback loops with senior personnel, oversee project execution, and compile timely reports.

**Experience we’re looking for**:

- 5 + years’ experience in a direct sales leadership role servicing independent agency clients in Melbourne.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining a high performing media sales team.
- High levels of professionalism and charisma, with the ability to influence, engage and persuade senior stakeholders.
- Exceptional track record achieving and exceeding challenging budgets and targets.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a hunger to innovate and seek continuous improvements.
