The Payroll Assistant is responsible for the timely and efficient end to end payroll service consistent with compliance requirements and providing reporting related to payroll costs and other operational criteria to the Finance team to assist in analysis to improve key business strategies.

**Specifically, the position is responsible for**:

- Ensure fortnightly and monthly payrolls are processed in a timely and accurate manner, including salary items, superannuation, taxation and salary packaging
- Maintain employee details in employee self-service system (UKG Ready)
- Respond in a timely and confidential manner to payroll system and ESS queries from employees and external stakeholders
- Administer, process and submit regular payroll reports for internal and external users as requiredMaintain employee superannuation fund details and ensure contributions file is accurate and submitted to clearing house as per current regulations**To be considered for this position, applicants require**:

- Payroll foundation course or equivalent relevant certification
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in payroll administration and management
- Demonstrated knowledge of superannuation and payroll practices, procedures, operations and legislation
- Comprehensive understanding of Modern Awards, Social, Community Home Care and Disability Services Award 2010
- Demonstrated ability to multi-skill with flexibility to accommodate change in processes and/or regulations
